December 28th 2007, IT Park (ITP-VNU) checked and took over the project of Ministry of Science and Technology “Research for designing IP core and manufacture prototype of RISC 8 bit SigmaK3 Chip”. This project was established by Decision No. 42/2005/QĐ/ĐHQG-KHCN on 04 December 2007 of Viet Nam National University.

 

 

 

The Board consist of Manager of Board Prof. Dr Vu Dinh Thanh – Principal of Ho Chi Minh University of Technology, PhD Nguyen Tri Tuan – Manager of SELAB Ho Chi Minh University of Natural Sciences, PhD Nguyen Vu Luu –R & D Director of Atera in Viet Nam, PhD Dinh Duc Anh Vu – Faculty of Information Technology of Ho Chi Minh University of Technology, PhD Pham Namg Tung – Qualcomm’s expert, Mr Hoang Ngoc Diep – Senior Director of Qualcomm in Viet Nam, PhD Trinh Ngoc Minh – Tranning Manager of  Information Technology Park , Prof. Dr Hoang Dung - Director of VNU-HCM Science & Technology Department, Prof. Dr Ngyen Thanh Nam – Deputy Director of VNU-HCM Science & Technology Department, Director of ICDREC with project manager M.Sc Ngo Duc Hoang and team leaders of ICDREC.

 

 

 

The board listened attentively to the project manager and project teams about the process of Research for designing IP core and manufacture prototype of RISC 8 bit SigmaK3 Chip for TSMC 0.25 micron last year. The members of board highly appreciated style of “team work” in project teams of ICDREC. Beside technical characteristics of SigmaK3 chip, the team leaders convinced the members of board and Qualcomm’s experts of Led Matrix Display System and Robot application using SigmaK3 Microprocessor. With the board’s appreciating, the project graded excellent (57.3/60 marks).
